About the programme
This apprenticeship is designed for individuals who are passionate about numbers, organised, and eager to start a career in finance and administration. It’s ideal for those who want to gain practical experience, develop professional skills, and earn a nationally recognised qualification while working in a fast-paced business environment.

Frequently asked questions
-
What do you look for in your application process?
The main things we look for are a positive attitude and a passion for food. We look to understand your motivations for wanting to undertake one of our programmes, the skills that you’ve learned at university and anything else you can apply to your role.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a lot of work experience, we also look at how you worked with your peers at college/university, and our applicants frequently talk about projects they have undertaken as part of their studies throughout the application process.
-
How long does the application process take?
We receive lots of applications for our early careers programmes, which means we are very busy working our way through them, scheduling calls, interviews and assessment centres. We aim to keep you involved throughout each stage of the process, and you will hear if you have been successful soon after each stage. Following assessment centres and final stage interviews, we also provide all candidates with feedback on how they performed, which can help to shape any future recruitment processes if need be.

When do the early careers programmes start?
We induct all our new early careers colleagues together at the same time, in late August. Induction lasts 3 days and is usually held in a close to one of our sites. At induction, you will meet others on your programme as well as people across all our early careers programmes, previous cohorts, your support network and learn plenty about what life at Greencore is really like!
